So this week Rush Limbaugh floated the idea that secession may be on the horizon. He may be the highest-profile figure to say this. I personally think it's inevitable at this point.
Let's talk about this. What would it look like? Would America separate into two nations along geographic lines? If so, how would that occur with large leftist bases in urban areas surrounded by a sea of red?
Also, if Democrats hold more political power (especially POTUS), secession by the right would be viewed more as an insurrection, while if Republicans get more power right before the breakup, the left's secession would be framed as a "revolution". This matters, I think, because the party seceding would likely get the worse end of the stick.
Any thoughts on this?
Allen West also mentioned something along these lines yesterday. I thought it might take a longer time for this to play out, but it could snowball.

I've been trying to think how this dystopian future would play out, though, and I am having a hard time doing it. It's not a simply North-South, Yankee-Confederate geographic division.
My prediction now is that with Biden in office, the Dems continue the shutdowns, will will have a massive degradation on America's small business base. The companies that are growing are big tech companies, Amazon, etc. - those that can fund the leftist elites in Washington.
As poverty increases, Democrats will use it to garner support for implementation of massive socialist policies. We will be utterly transformed as a nation.
Yes I totally agree. Socialism is the endgame for the Democrats. After the Great Reset, the world will become an integrated socialist network where Beijing will be the new world superpower. America will become the military for hire client state. So sad.
Even if Trump were to be revealed as the Dark Lord of the Sith, he's still better than the last four presidents we've had.
