And Kamala Harris is Biden's VP pick. To be honest, in the days leading up to yesterday, I really thought that Biden would be going with Susan Rice. Rice would have been the safer pick and the more serious pick, which would have given him a greater Obama connection.
What do you think of Harris? I used to fear her because she's good on paper, but she was unimpressive during the debates. She made too many statements over the last two years that reveal her positions to be kind of kooky, and this can be used against her. I don't think she rallies the Democrat base like they are portraying on social media.
The Dems are throwing this election and concentrating on the Senate so they can impeach Trump. They are playing the long game for a better candidate to emerge in 2024...Michelle Obama maybe?

I should expand my ideas in a few blog posts in longer format, but the thing that is scary to me is the difference between the visions for our nation between right and left. The realistic vision for America in the conservative view is one in which people have the same opportunity are free to pursue their own interests; government provides strong leadership in key areas (e.g. national defense) but largely leaves people unrestricted to achieve the common good; and fundamental rights are narrowly-defined and protected from governmental interference.
The realistic vision for America in the leftist vision, however, is quite different. Equality of outcome, rather than opportunity, would be mandated by the state; certain groups, based on genetic characteristics such as race and gender, are considered superior or inferior and must be elevated or punished accordingly; and the state would enforce standards of culture, including strict guidelines on what people would be allowed to say or do or possibly even think.
I'm not joking about this. The leftist vision is one of controlling people, down to one's thoughts. The right is about promoting individual freedom. And right now, the left's vision seems to be winning.

Now there are groups of them in person at post offices protesting against voting in person. These people are truly mentally sick.
@skiguy What makes the USPS hoax so looney from the start is the fact that Americans have the ability to send mail from their very homes by putting outgoing mail in their mailboxes and raising the little flag. Making the jump from removal of postal boxes to "disenfranchisement of voters because it will hurt the Democrats" is rather absurd, but of course the Dems are taking this route. Seems they are doing this simply to manufacture moral justification for their desire for mail-in voting, which is easier to manipulate in an election.
I commented on an article from Cape Cod Times on Facebook. When I said protesting in person against voting in person makes no sense, some Lefties came back with "it's not about voting.: The title of the article was "We want to preserve people’s voting rights by voting freely by mail"
What is starting to scare me a lot now is that these idiot leftists can vote. I don't know. I guess people with mental illness have the right to vote too. 🤨
From what I understand, voting by mail is far easier to manipulate, which may be why the Dems want to do this.
Next time a leftist cries to you about voting by mail, say that they of course can still vote by going into the booth on election day. If they scream "But COVID!", remind them that the left assures us that masks are effective, so they should be just fine. 😆
I am very worried about what happens after November. If Trump wins, there will be riots. If Trump loses, Socialism will be crammed down our throats. We are at a tipping point, and there is really no bright spot to be found.
