I’ll never forget when I laid eyes on my grandpa’s 1911, I fell in love. Though the design is over 100 years old, it remains a favorite for many shooters and collectors. It’s a classic that’s served our country throughout the decades on the battlefield and at home. The 1911 is reliable, accurate, and just freakin fantastic, but there are many options on the market, and some are frankly better than others. So, what is the best 1911 chambered in .45 ACP?
POTD: Suppressed Tikka T3x In Spuhr SICS Chassis

Photo Of The Day : The SICS chassis is made by Spuhr, and here it can be seen in one of the configurations I’ve given it over time. It has the new Schmidt & Bender 5-20x PMII in a Spuhr QD mount and an ASE Utra suppressor with a Cole-Tac cover. It’s chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, and this Tikka is most likely the most accurate rifle I own as long as I feed it with the right ammunition. That fact, and because I needed a host for the mighty Schmidt & Bender 5-45x that’s what made me go for a higher magnification. The S&B 5-20x is great on semi-autos and DMR.
