The bill says most of the replacement law is intended to commence on September 23, 2026, with the complete package phased in by February 23, 2028. Those dates explain why different provisions may change at different times. They do not eliminate Royal Assent or the need for supporting regulations and agency guidance.

Colt was the king of the wheelgun world in the 1800s, even though other manufacturers made arguably better revolvers. That’s because Colt’s reputation was built on the rough, tough frontier; they were the first company to sell revolvers, and their handguns were arguably the reason that Texans were able to fight off the Comanche warriors during the 1840s and 1850s. That was the start of decades of revolver firepower dominating the West, from the Mexican-American War to the California Gold Rush to the Civil War and the Indian Wars. Colt made full-sized revolvers that dominated the battlefields as well as personal conflicts in frontier towns.

Derya Arms has officially launched the MAX in the United States, a completely new proprietary magazine-fed 12-gauge shotgun built from the ground up rather than an evolution of the company's existing DY12 line. The MAX made its public debut at the GOA GOALS 2026 summit and is now in production in small quantities at Derya's Jacksonville, Florida facility, with shipping to authorized dealers beginning in September 2026.
AMTAC Announces the Minuteman II Slim Knife

Bill Rapier over at Amtac Blades is rolling out a slimmer version of one of his most established fixed blades. The Minuteman II Slim keeps the same 4-inch full flat ground blade and 7 3/4-inch overall length as the standard Minuteman II, but drops blade stock from 3/16 inch to 0.15 inch, about a 20 percent reduction. That thinner stock also cuts blade weight from 4.7 ounces to 4.3 ounces. Handle length remains at 3 3/4 inches, so the Slim fits in the same low-profile belt sheaths as the rest of the Minuteman II line. MagnaCut, like other offerings, will remain as the blade steel, trading a bit of edge retention against something like M390 (like my NorthmanX) for better toughness and corrosion resistance.
