China’s New Assault Rifle - The QBZ-191

The QBZ-191 assault rifle, a pivotal development in modern warfare, was officially showcased during the 70th-anniversary parade of the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1st, 2019. The strategic importance of this new 191 family of weapon systems, which began developing in 2014-2015, cannot be overstated. The creation of improved ammunition, designated as DBP-191, marked the second attempt to replace the QBZ-95, following the first attempt with the QBZ-03, representing a departure from the bullpup design. The general dissatisfaction with the previous generation of 5.8mm weapons and ammunition prompted another effort to replace the QBZ-95 and enhance its lethality.

This model is called ACE 50R, and as the sun dips below the horizon and the forest begins to darken, a thermal riflescope becomes any hunter’s greatest ally for hunting wild boar. With daylight fading, these elusive animals come alive under the cover of night, but a thermal turns the tables in my favor.
The Rimfire Report: Browning Should Bring Back the (Rimfire) BPR

Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report. This week, we’re checking out another discontinued rifle (or rifles) - the Browning BPR (Browning Pump Rifle). In my opinion, the BPR was probably the best example of a pump-action rimfire from the 1970s that was chambered not only in .22 LR and .22 WMR but also a select handful of centerfire cartridges. While this rifle was discontinued decades ago, its unique design and practical performance have made me dream of this rifle coming back into the market. So today I’ll give you guys a brief overview of the rifle, where you can find them today, and of course my reasons for wanting to bring it back.

Laugo Arms out of the Czech Republic, debuted in the world of pistol manufacturing in 2019 with the Alien, a pistol that re-wrote the concept of “low bore axis” and showed that “out of the box” thinking is still possible in pistol design. The drawbacks of such a model are the very high cost and the poor fit for concealed carry; now the Alien Remus fixes one of these points, adding further innovation along the way.
Strike Industries Unveils New Strike Arms SAP-C Glock 19 Frame

Strike Industries has long been known to be one of the most prolific producers of aftermarket parts for handguns, rifles, and PDW platforms. With the ringing in of the new year, Strike Industries has officially launched its new firearms brand, Strike Arms, and is also introducing the Strike Arms Pistol (Compact) Frame for Glock Gen 3 pistols. Known as the SAP-C , the new serialized frame will come pre-installed with a lower parts kit and will also have an improved 1911-style grip angle, integrated flared magwell, and stippled texturing straight out of the box. The SAP-C is intended to appeal to both builders and enthusiasts with a pre-populated lower just needing your preferred Gen-3 upper and a couple of magazines. Obviously, with the founding of a new firearms company, it looks like Strike Industries intends to release more than just Glock 19-compatible frames.
