Ben Garrison is pretty good.

Even if Trump were to be revealed as the Dark Lord of the Sith, he's still better than the last four presidents we've had.

The tariffs are an interesting development. I don't know how I feel about them at the moment, as there are positives and negatives.  In general, tariffs lead to the inefficient allocation of resources, which is why I oppose them.  At the same times, using tariffs as a strategic bargaining chip could be a shrewd move if it means improving U.S. trade deals.

I think that fact that no one really knows whether Trump is doing this as a temporary tactic or for something more permanent is why his plan might actually work.  Trump could be playing 4d chess for all I know.

I personally think Trump might intentionally be trying to destroy the current financial model to make way for the digital currency age.  Scary if that is his ultimate goal.  I do think Trump will drop tariffs if he gets the deals he wants.

Wow, I did not have "Trump destroying the current financial model" place on my bingo card.  Had not heard that one before, but hope it's not true. I like Trump and all, but that's probably not something one person should be doing unilaterally.

I know that there is panic selling going on in the stock market now, and Trump seems to regularly reference the market as a gauge of the success of his own policies.  I also heard - though need to confirm this - that some 50 countries have approached Trump to renegotiate their tariffs on imports from the U.S.

This leads to the big question - is Trump doing this to improve trade deals, or to protect U.S. businesses?  Because if it's the former, then the tariffs will be short term, but if the latter, they'll be long term.
