Most people practice their skeet and trap shooting out in an open field. Hunting would probably be the other times people get practice with a shotgun. The only shotguns I care about buying are for home defense, and they really don't require much practice since shooting intruders will be at close range, and aiming doesn't have to be quite as precise. 😝

Oh ok. My brother, before he had passed away at the end of last year, had told me I could have a shotgun of his, but I was never able to make the drive to go and get it from him. I don't know what my sister-in-law did with his other guns that he owned, but if I do get the shotgun I might need to try it out sometime. Now is the time I am kind of wishing I were armed.

I am very sorry for your loss Phid. Yes it is probably the best time to be learning how to use firearms for protection.
