My SSL certificate expired and I didn't set up the new one in time.  When I fixed it, the site reverted to an older version.  Many forum posts appear to have been lost.

If you can't login, let me know and I will reset your account.  I apologize for this inconvenience.

Even if Trump were to be revealed as the Dark Lord of the Sith, he's still better than the last four presidents we've had.

Actually, no I hadn't backed it up.  I think the posts are still out there somewhere because I thought I was running two live sites.  I know I migrated the site to another installation when I switched to Linux hosting.  The Godaddy SSL certificate goes with the managed Wordpress site...this one.  Godaddy takes care of this install.  But it is just as well since the SSL certificate auto renews on the managed site and I don't have to do anything with it.  The only thread that I will mourn is the World War III one because it had some good posts.  There were others too, but we can start new threads.  I will do a backup on a regular basis starting from here on out.  I have a localhost install on my home computer I can use to populate our content there for safe keeping.

Crap.  Feels like the Library of Alexander being wiped out.  Have you tried asking Godaddy to see if they can restore it?  I think hosts of that size would have regular backups that they can restore rather easily.

I guess it's not the end of the world if you can't, but it feels like some of our conversations were great archival materials of our sentiments at this critical point in history.

I'll look into it and see what can be done.

FORUM RULES

  • No posts that incite violence or promotes hatred will be tolerated. Critics of gun enthusiasts always try to paint us as violent xenophobic racists. Nothing of the kind will be found here.
  • Harassment of other members will result in a swift permanent ban. If you cannot be nice, your stay here will be short.
  • Spamming the board with mindless rants will not be allowed. If there is a need, a forum can be created for well articulated tirades. We support free speech, but there are better ways of going about it.
  • Inappropriate pictures or graphics will be removed. There are enough websites on the internet for that junk. LegacyArmory.com isn’t going to become one of them.
  • Soliciting services are to be confined to the classified ads forum. We will allow the promotion of other personal websites so long as they are not inappropriate or offensive to our membership. WE KNOW INAPPROPRIATE WHEN WE SEE IT.
