The Trump DOJ and FBI just made a statement that Jeffrey Epstein commit suicide and that there is no "client list". The first part isn't hard to accept, but the second is harder to believe. The entire issue was that Epstein's clients includes some filthy rich and powerful people, with the presumption that they engaged in nefarious acts and were never held accountable. Did the DOJ and FBI just cover for those powerful elites?
It seems like this issue isn't going to fade away quietly.
One of the conspiracy theories that has floated around is that Trump is on the client list and therefore doesn't want it released because of that. However, I think many people realize that if this were true, it would have been leaked by the Biden Admin. Think of all the other things they tried to do to undermine Trump. Leaking evidence of sex trafficking would have been a lot more effective, but they didn't, likely because it didn't exist.
So the other theory is that Epstein was working in some way with a foreign intelligence service (e.g. Mossad, MI6, possibly the Saudis) and so if Trump released more information on Epstein, it could damage international relations (especially if Israel is involved). I know this theory is a bit further out there, but it seems to be picking up more traction. I also think it's becoming more plausible given Trump's comments which tried to sweep the issue under the rug.
