Even if Trump were to be revealed as the Dark Lord of the Sith, he's still better than the last four presidents we've had.

I consider the source dubious but I want to know what others think.

Notice how they phrase it: he should be charged "with a crime", but they don't specify what.  People are generally ill-informed about the law.  If you ask the public if hate speech is against the law, you'd get a decent number of them thinking that yes, it is illegal.

I think Democrats are content with vague insinuations of committing a nameless crime, because it imputes guilt.  If people think Trump is generally guilty, they'll be more likely to look past injustices that Democrats do while they continue their Inspector Javert-style prosecution of him.

The media is now just a Fifth Column Ministry of Propaganda for the Democrat Party.  They don't even try to hide it anymore.  The Republicans have lost the information war and are in danger of losing the cultural war as well.  The Travis and Sextons of the media world cannot drown out the liberal media.  Even Rush Limbaugh couldn't overcome it.

That's one of the big issues if America broke up and formed multiple nations.  Since the media still crosses borders, the people in "Trumplandia" (as we'll call it) would still be exposed to leftist narratives.  Even if there were peace between Trumplandia and Woketopia, the leftism propaganda would continue to influence the good citizens of Trumplandia.

At least there would be the opportunity for a competitive market in Trumplandia.  I'm not advocating censorship of the media by any means.  But some kind of counterweight needs to be in place to challenge the Left-leaning media.  In the end, people need to be informed enough to decide for themselves.  Can't be informed if only one side of the coin is all that is seen.

I can understand the fear of censoring as it would create a bad precedent.  However, historically, the West has valued truth over falsity, and freedom to make decisions based upon true information.  What if we're entering an age in which that is ending altogether?  Imagine a dystopian world in which propaganda was so powerful that truth never had a chance?

I imagine a dystopian world in which the people of Trumplandia are just minding their own business, but the leftist media programs from Woketopia are bombarding the airwaves and inevitably influence the the Trumplandia youth, sowing discord.  Would this be a problem?

Yes it would be a very big problem.  The society would be split between old and young.  Mistrust would be the rule.

I think the mistrust that exists now is the greatest predictor of a coming National Divorce.  While politicians have always been relatively untrustworthy, it has historically been the media that could be relied on to generally tell the truth.  However, the media had too much exposure during the Trump years to the point at which there was what is likely to be a permanent break.  Now, neither side will trust the other when it comes to national elections, resulting in an increasingly fractured country.
