Does this change anything now that Trump was found to be guilty on all counts? What will happen? Will he be jailed or just given a fine?
I've heard various things, from Trump getting put in jail (because Democrats have to go all-in on this) to Trump getting the verdict overturned on appeal. And what about the election?
You are making a huge assumption that Trump will be allowed to be the GOP candidate. If the Democrats have gotten this far, don't you think they've developed a plan to keep him out of office? I suspect this would take the form of somehow getting his name off ballots in key states because he's a "felon", preventing him from attending the debates, or claiming he can't run on some technicality. I realize that this only makes him more sympathetic in the eyes of the public, but don't you think the Democrats will use the conviction as part to massively obstruct his path to the White House?
